Give thanks! Larissa FastHorse becomes the first Native American female playwright to have a play produced on Broadway with the premiere of The Thanksgiving Play, officially opening April 20 after beginning previews March 25. The 10-week limited engagement will continue through June 4 at Second Stage's Helen Hayes Theater.
Emmy nominee D'Arcy Carden (in her Broadway debut), Tony winner Katie Finneran (Promises, Promises), Scott Foley (The Violet Hour), and Emmy nominee Chris Sullivan (Nice Work if You Can Get It) star in the ensemble comedy about four white people trying to devise a traditional Thanksgiving pageant for children that honors Native Americans. Mollie Fink, Dasan Turner, Ishan De Silva, and Atticus Scott-Williamson appear as High School Children in filmed scenes, and the company is rounded out by understudies Christopher Ryan Grant, Clea Alsip, and Amy Staats. Tony-winning Hadestown director Rachel Chavkin helms the production.
