News Tony Winner Anika Noni Rose Lands Next Screen Role Deadline.com reports that Tony Award winner Anika Noni Rose has signed on to join the Starz drama series "Power."

Rose, who has been seen on Broadway in Cat on a Hot Tin Roof, A Raisin in the Sun; and Caroline, or Change, for which she won a Tony Award, will play a street wise cop on the series that focuses on a wealthy New York nightclub owner who lives a double life as a drug kingpin.

Rose also starred in the film adaptation of "Dreamgirls" and voiced the animated Disney musical "The Princess and the Frog." She will also be part of the upcoming A&E Remake of "Roots."
