Totally Normal: A Co-Dependent Trans Friendship Musical will get an NYC industry reading presentation at Opera America's Marc A. Scorca Hall November 8-10.
The new work follows a pair of best friend roommates who run a weed-happy salon out of their California apartment. The musical features a book by Kelly Anneken and Reina Bracha, lyrics by Bracha, and music by Matt Fukui Grandy and Bracha.
The reading's cast will feature Blanca Del Loco, Ellie van Amerongen, Sushma Saha, Sar Burke, Sam Nackman, and Sammy Overton.
Mika Kauffman will direct the upcoming performances, with Sid Quinsaat serving as music director and Hannahjo Anderson as stage manager.
