Cabaret & Concert News Transport Group to Produce Sweet Charity in Concert The Cy Coleman-Neil Simon-Dorothy Fields musical will be presented June 17 at the Merkin Concert Hall.

The Transport Group will stage a concert of the 1966 musical Sweet Charity, featuring a score by Cy Coleman and Dorothy Fields and a book by Neil Simon.

The June 17 concert at Merkin Concert Hall will be directed by Artistic Director Jack Cummings III and feature music direction by Joey Chancey. Sweet Charity will feature a 23-piece orchestra playing the original Broadway orchestrations.

Casting has not been announced.

Bob Fosse directed the original 1966 Broadway production of Sweet Charity, which starred Gwen Verdon in the title role.
