"Thank you, BAFTA. This is such a huge honor. And I want to call out each of the other very talented costume designers. You are always an inspiration for me. I especially want to thank Jon M. Chu, our visionary director. It was like–you saw the train, and in the little clip, it was like jumping on the train right behind Elphaba and Glinda, and riding into Emerald City as we charged through with Jon as our conductor. Running down the stairs and into Emerald City and this explosion of excitement and life. And that was what designing Wicked was for me. I want to call out and thank the cast, the amazing cast. Thank you for bringing life to my costumes. Especially my Wicked muses, Cynthia and Ariana. Thank you. I also want to thank the amazing, illustrious team of builders, crafters, costume illustrators, all the tailors, stitchers, everyone that it took to create this world of Wicked. They're really amazing as well as all of my assistants, Lloyd, Ellie, Bobby and my costume supervisor, Dulcie. This Herculean effort would not have happened without you. Thank you, thank you. And I want to dedicate this to my two mothers, who have instilled and instill in me humility that is required of artists and that it is the most important to be inspiring and supportive of others. Thank you. Thank you."

Wicked took home a second win as well, for Production Design. Other theatre-related wins include Kieran Culkin, soon to return to Broadway in Glengarry Glen Ross, for Best Supporting Actor for his performance in A Real Pain, and two wins for the controversial musical Emilia Pérez: Best Film Not in The English Language and Supporting Actress for Zoe Saldaña.
