Olivia Puckett, Mason Reeves, and more star in the Matthew Gardiner-directed production of the '60s rock musical at the D.C.-area theatre.

Signature Theatre's production of the '60s rock musical Hair, which began performances April 16 in the D.C.-area company's MAX Theatre, will continue through July 7.

Artistic Director Matthew Gardiner helms the production, led by Jordan Dobson (Hadestown, Bad Cinderella)  as Claude, Olivia Puckett (Dear Evan Hansen) as Sheila, and Mason Reeves (Frozen) as Berger.

Also in the cast are Savannah Blackwell as Lorrie, Patrick Leonardo Casimir as Walter, Alex De Bard as Emmaretta, Jamie Goodson as Suzannah and Mother, Caroline Graham as Crissy, Noah Israel as Woof, Amanda Lee as Dionne, Keenan McCarter as Steve and Father, Nolan Montgomery as Jonathan and Margaret Mead, Nora Palka as Jeanie, Solomon Parker III as Hud, and Gregory Twomey as Paul and Hubert. Garvey X. Dobbins, Lily Gilan James, Nia-Aiyana Meeks, and Ethan Turbyfill round out the company as swings.

Gardiner's creative team includes choreographer Ashleigh King, music director Angie Benson, scenic designer Paige Hathaway, costume designer Kathleen Geldard, lighting designer Jason Lyons, sound designer Eric Norris, video designer Patrick W. Lord, and wig designer Anne Nesmith. Chelsea Pace is Signature's resident intimacy consultant and choreographer, and Casey Kaleba is fight director. Sinai Tabak is orchestrating, with casting by Jorge Acevedo. New York casting is by Whitley Theatrical. Kerry Epstein is production stage manager with Julia Singer as assistant stage manager.

The show, about a group of long-haired bohemians on the cusp of adulthood who champion freedom, pacifism, and joy, features a book and lyrics by Gerome Ragni and James Rado and music by Galt MacDermot. The iconic show, among the first true rock musicals, includes such favorites as "Aquarius," "Let the Sun Shine In," and "Good Morning, Starshine."
