London musical Ride is currently making its U.S. debut at California's The Old Globe, where performances began March 30 on the Donald and Darlene Shiley Stage. The production officially opened April 5 and will continue through April 28.

Watch Alex Finke (Come From Away) sing "Across America" from the new musical in the music video above. The video features a vocal performance mixed and music produced by Justin Goldner, recorded at Signature Sound Studios in San Diego. The video was filmed by Katharine Quinn and edited by Richard Southgate, produced by DEM Productions.

Featuring a book, music, and lyrics by Freya Catrin Smith and music and lyrics by Jack Williams (jointly the 2023 Fred Ebb Award winners), Ride follows Annie Londonderry as she endeavors to ride around the world on a bicycle. The only catch is she's barely ever ridden a bicycle at all. The work comes to the California theatre following U.K. runs at Leicester Curve, Southwark Playhouse, Charing Cross Theatre, and the Garrick Theatre in London's West End. Sarah Meadows is directing the Old Globe staging.

Finke stars as Annie opposite Livvy Marcus as Martha. Understudy Aubrey Matalon rounds out the company.

The production features orchestrations by Macy Schmidt, music supervision and additional arrangements by Sam Young, music direction by Daniel Green, choreography by Jennifer Jancuska (from original choreography by Natasha Harrison), scenic and costume design by Amy Jane Cook, lighting design by Jamie Platt, sound design by Andrew Johnson, video design by Matt Powell, illusion design by John Bulleid, and casting by Jim Carnahan and Jason Thinger. Anjee Nero is production stage manager, and Amanda Salmons is assistant stage manager.

Along with The Old Globe, the California run is being produced by DEM Productions and Wagner Johnson Productions.
