Billy Porter has worked with a number of landmark choreographers over his more-than-30-year, Tony-winning career. But Jeff Calhoun, Jerry Mitchell, Bob Avian, and Savion Glover are no match for Porter's latest master choreographers: a bunch of toddlers. The Kinky Boots star dropped by a recent episode of The Late Late Show With [fellow Tony winner] James Corden for a round of Toddlerography. Watch how he fares above.
Porter is a Tony winner for his performance creating the role of Lola in Kinky Boots. He made his Broadway debut in the original Broadway cast of Miss Saigon, later making a splash with his gospel-infused take on Teen Angel in Grease. He's also appeared on Broadway in Smokey Joe's Cafe, Five Guys Named Moe, and Shuffle Along, Or The Making of the Musical Sensation of 1921 and All That Followed.
Since Kinky Boots, Porter has moved mostly into TV and film, winning a Primetime Emmy Award for his work as Pray Tell in Pose. His film performances include Like a Boss, Cinderella, Anything's Possible, and 80 for Brady.
