Michael Lee Brown has been with Broadway’s Tony-winning Dear Evan Hansen since the show began in 2016, as an understudy for all three young male characters: Evan Hansen, Connor Murphy, and Jared Kleinman. In the summer of 2017, Brown became the alternate for Ben Platt’s Evan Hansen, stepping in for one performance each week.
He has continued understudying and stepping in ever since, but now audiences get to see him in all three roles at the same time. In the official music video above, Brown sings all three parts of the trio “Sincerely, Me.”
Directed by Michael Greif, Dear Evan Hansen currently plays the Music Box Theatre. Written by Tony Award winner Steven Levenson with a Tony-winning score by Benj Pasek and Justin Paul, the show is also traveling the country in a national tour, enjoys a sit-down engagement in Toronto, and is set to open in London's West End later this year.
