Disney’s Broadway-bound stage adaptation of Frozen is set to premiere August 17 at the Denver Center for the Performing Arts prior to its anticipated New York bow in spring 2018 at the St. James Theatre.
In this newly-released video teaser, the cast and creative team share a rare glimpse into rehearsals and offer a sneak peek of what fans can expect from the new musical, which promises to take audiences into a world beyond the film.
Watch the video above for a first look at Caissie Levy and Patti Murin in the respective roles of Elsa and Anna, and to learn more about the musical from Oscar-winning “Let It Go” songwriters Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Robert Lopez, as well as book writer Jennifer Lee, director Michael Grandage, choreographer Rob Ashford, and Disney Theatrical Group President Thomas Schumacher.
Frozen will feature orchestrations by Dave Metzger, sets and costumes by Christopher Oram, lighting design by Natasha Katz, sound design by Peter Hylenski, video design by Finn Ross, puppet design by Michael Curry, hair design by David Brian Brown, makeup design by Anne Ford-Coates, and special effects by Jeremy Chernick. Stephen Oremus will serve as music supervisor, creating vocal, incidental, and dance arrangements; joining him on the music team are Chris Montan as executive music producer and Brian Usifer as music director. Casting is by Telsey + Company.
