News Watch Moving Broadway Cover of X Ambassadors’ “Unsteady” Members of the theatre community felt the “need” to create art following the outcome of the presidential election.

Singers, dancers, and performers in the New York theatre community united to create a cover of X Ambassadors’ “Unsteady” following the results of the presidential election. Watch it above.

“In the weeks following our most recent election, I was having a difficult time finding the words to express how I felt,” writes director and choreographer Tiffany Laterza on YouTube. “I think a lot of people were, and maybe still are. I’m angry, I’m sad, I’m scared, and no matter how hard I tried, I couldn’t speak about it or write about it the way many others were able to.

“I felt this sudden need and want to create something…anything, that could come close to even a whisper of what I felt inside. The more I reached out to friends, the more I realized that I wasn’t alone. I am so fortunate to be living in this city and to constantly be surrounded by a community that is so overwhelmingly loving and accepting of each other.”

Directed and choreographed by Laterza, “Unsteady” features the voices of Daniel Quadrino and Nicholas J. Oliveri.

Dancers in the video are Tommy Bracco, Audra Bryant, DeMarius R. Copes, Rachel Hanson, Brandon Hudson, Laterza, Christopher Rice, Lisa Sainvil, Kristen Sandler, Jack Scott, Clay Thomson, and Adam Wedesky.

“Unsteady” features appearances by Coleman Annison, Galyana Castillo, Clarance Chotalal, Sarah Cline, Jarvis Derrell, Conor DeVoe, JP Ferreri, Will Ganss, Jeremy Greenbaum, Jennifer Haining, Vinyetta James, Joshua Juneau, Nikko Kimzin, Steven Kopp, Caleb McCotter, Victoria Navarino, Jeff O’Donnell, Madeline O’Hara, Nathaniel Reid, and Danny Peter Smith.
