Stephanie J. Block and Derek Klena are stepping into the spotlight for their solo numbers, in a new pair of Sunset Boulevard production videos released by The Kennedy Center. Block, playing fading film star Norma Desmond, belts out the forlorn ballad "As If We Never Said Goodbye." Klena, playing screenwriter Joe Gillis who gets drawn into Norma's orbit, commands the stage with the titular song "Sunset Boulevard."

The Kennedy Center production of Andrew Lloyd Webber's Sunset Boulevard opened February 1 at the D.C. venue's Eisenhower Theater, with Block leading the high-drama Hollywood story about fleeting fame and the inevitable loss of stardom due to changing beauty standards. The limited engagement runs until February 8.

See Block's performance below, as she's backed by Kennedy Center's lush orchestra.

DeMille.

Rounding out the ensemble is David André, Lauren Blackman, Julio Catano-Yee, Colin Cunliffe, Haile Ferrier, Emily Harvey, Wonza Johnson, Aubrie Knapp, Ryland Marbutt, Lance Roberts, Maria Cristina Posada Slye, and Kristin Yancy.
