News Wordless As You Like It Told Through Music and Movement Arlington's Synetic Theatre, dedicated to high-energy physical theatre, presents an adaptation of the Shakespeare classic As You Like It, told with visual imagery, original music, movement and no dialogue.

Performances begin Dec. 9 and continue through Jan. 17, 2016.

In Synetic's contemporary adaptation of As You Like It, Rosalind is banished from "the bleak streets of a rusted urban wasteland." Helmed by Paata Tsikurishvili, Synetic’s purely physical interpretation "promises to be a thought-provoking exploration of the nature of traditional gender roles, societal class, and love," states a description on the show's website.

The cast features Taylor Robinson, Sharisse Taylor, Will Hayes, Francesca Blume, Philip Fletcher, Scott Turner, Scott Brown, Laura Artesi, Vato Tsikurishvili, Irakli Kavsadze, Konstantine Lorkipanidze, Irina Kavsadze, Anna Lynch and Shu-nan Chu.

The creative team includes assistant director Irakli Kavsadze, choreographer Irina Tsikurishvili, fight choreographer Ben Cunis, script adaptation by Nathan Weinberger, set design by Anastasia Simes, costume designer Kendra Rai, lighting designer Brian Allard, sound designer Thomas Sowers, props master Chris Foote, sound editor and composer Konstantine Lortkipanidze, stage manager Marley Giggey, production manager Ann Allan, technical director Phil Charlwood, electrician Alex Keen, sound and multimedia engineer Thomas Sowers, assistant costume designer Courtney Wood, assistant lighting designer Nicki Rosecranz, assistant stage manager Derek David, assistant stage manager Sofia Schultz, wardrobe manager Anastazia Whittle, light board operator Nathan Collard and production assistant Julieanna Novak.
