Synopsis

An anxious actor, Clark, desires a deeper connection with his intimate partner, Avery. But crippling anxiety and the everyday work hustle disrupt his attempts at intimacy. Avery

Lead, Black, Male, 30s

An ambitious worker in the midst of financial woes. Avery finds relief with his casual partner, Clark, but when they consider a serious relationship, Avery questions whether he can provide intimacy while still addressing his unraveling debt. Intimate kissing scene involved that doesn't require nudity. Intimacy coordinator will be provided. Role requires one full day of rehearsal before shoot dates.

Therapist

Minor Role, Black, Male, 35 - 40s

Therapist who listens to Clark’s deepest inner thoughts. When Clark spirals into anxious thinking, his therapist tries to guide him to wellness tools they’ve developed over some months. Role will most likely be a recorded voiceover. Depending on the needs of the production, actor might be on set or they might record via a recording studio or at-home equipment.

Mom

Minor Role, Black, Female, 50s

Clark’s assertive mother who tries her best to support her son who’s moved back in with her. Despite attempts to uplift Clark, she’s not always successful in pulling him out his saddest state.

Auditor

Minor Role, White, All Genders, 50s - 60s

This person sees and manages auditions for grad school. They're a seasoned recruiter for an acting program.
