The Director of External Relations (DER) serves as PlayMakers’ principal external facing administrative leader and oversees advancement strategies for the company’s $~4 million budget. The DER oversees the marketing team, manages an assistant director of annual giving and works in partnership with the Arts & Sciences Foundation liaisons to meet all earned and contributed revenue goals. The DER works in collaboration with the Producing Artistic Director, Director of Operations and the UNC’s Chair of Dramatic Art to sustain, grow and elevate PRC’s standing as a nationally recognized, vibrant professional theater, inextricably linked to the university’s educational mission and operations.
