POSITION: Marketing Campaigns Associate (Temporary)

PAY: $22.00 - $25.00/hour; Part-time; Temporary; Non-Exempt

LOCATION & SCHEDULE: This is a hybrid position reporting to our administrative offices located at 91 University Place in Princeton, NJ. Regular business hours are Monday through Friday, 9am – 5pm; exact schedule for this position is flexible and to be discussed.
START DATE: This position is preferred to start by December 9th, 2024, and will serve as temporary coverage during the Marketing Campaigns Director’s leave of absence, which begins on or around January 2nd, 2025 through at least June 2025.
POSITION AND RESPONSIBILITIES
McCarter Theatre Center is seeking a Marketing Campaigns Associate to provide coverage of administrative duties and perform tasks related to campaign plans as developed by the Marketing Campaigns Director and Director of Marketing & Audience Strategy. The Marketing Campaigns Associate traffics projects within the department, with other internal departments and with external artist management and media partners. Essential Functions & Duties:
· Assist in developing and implementing comprehensive marketing plans, including communications, press outreach, advertising, promotions, website updates, and social media campaigns.
· Participate in weekly Inventory & Strategy, Department Project Tracking and other standing departmental meetings.
· Maintain marketing calendars and schedules, entering new department tasks in Wrike (project management software) and driving tasks to timely completion
· Coordinate with IT and Patron Services to create on sale schedules for both season announcements and for ongoing show announcements; contribute marketing department information to the completion of ‘New Event’ forms.
· Coordinate with artist management to acquire marketing assets and disseminate these assets to all necessary parties and maintain ongoing communications and relationships with the artist marketing representatives.
· Coordinate and manage the scheduling and fulfillment of all print, digital, radio and other media buys and campaigns
· Complete targeted marketing strategies for email and direct mail marketing; carrying out list request forms for all email, direct mail and other campaigns
· Manage list exchanges with external organizations
· Enter invoices for department expenses into Financial Edge (accounting/accounts payables software) and track invoices and expenses in internal department budget spreadsheets.
· Uphold McCarter's safety and conduct policies to foster a respectful and secure environment for all staff, artists, and audiences.
· Participate in the work, as comfortable and able, to make McCarter an anti-racist theater. Actively seek ways to improve our work practices to make the Marketing department more equitable and inclusive, while upholding and exhibiting our stated values of “justice and joy, beauty and belonging.”
Qualifications:
· Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects with strong attention to detail and deadlines.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, fostering positive working relationships with colleagues, vendors, and artists, across various departments.
· Proven ability to set priorities, work collaboratively, and act proactively.
· Understanding of or aptitude to quickly learn targeted marketing and list segmentation strategies as it relates to customer relationship management (CRM)/audience database.
· Proficient in digital tools such as Microsoft Office, website management platforms (e.g., Squarespace), and social media channels
· A collaborative approach, with the ability to work effectively and respectfully with individuals of diverse backgrounds, perspectives, and work styles, while maintaining a focus on solutions, civility, and growth.
· Exhibit a willingness to learn and grow, with genuine interest in promoting equitable, diverse, inclusive, and accessible workplace values and practices while working with individuals of diverse needs, personalities, and work styles, and employing an optimistic and solution-oriented mindset towards fostering inclusivity and support within the team environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree in a relevant area of study, or equivalent experience, preferred but not required.
· Experience with customer relationship management (CRM)/ticketing system database (preferably Tessitura)
· The ideal candidate will embody demonstrated passion for theatre and live performing arts, with particular interest in supporting and elevating the work of global artists across many disciplines
· Experience with the administration and management of performing arts institutions and theatre
Work Environment:

· When in person, work will primarily be completed in a shared office space, subject to HVAC cooling and heating.
