Multidisciplinary writers, composers, directors, and creators attend highly collaborative invite-only residencies with time dedicated to writing, listening, and feedback. Part-summer camp, part-production company, Drama Club Camp exists to propagate a legacy of new musical theater experiences for audiences of the 21st-century and beyond.
Our Summer Intern will assist in the day-to-day operation of Drama Club camp, including but not limited to:
* Help maintain and organize office systems, files, and production materials.
* Conduct research related to upcoming projects, contracts, and industry trends.
* Participate in team meetings, offering input and taking notes.
* Manage communications with vendors, artists, as needed.
* Assisting with meeting planning and calendar scheduling
* Assisting the producers of Drama Club with existing show development efforts.
* Helping writers find what they need and get where they need to go
* Managing and scheduling spaces (recording studio, rehearsal spaces, etc.)
* Cleaning, changing sheets between guests, and running errands.
Qualifications:
* Current student or recent graduate in theater, arts management, or a related field (preferred but not required).
* Strong organizational and multitasking skills with acute attention to detail.
* Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace, and know how to operate a mac laptop.
* A positive attitude, flexibility, and a willingness to take initiative.
* A passion for the performing arts and a desire to learn about producing and new musical development.
* Be a US citizen with a drivers licence and clean driving record.
A successful candidate will have an interest in new musical development, writing and/or producing, and may also be a performer. Every evening at camp, we share new work, and our intern will be invited to be present for these sessions with writers, and can sometimes participate.
In addition to a $6500 seasonal stipend, the intern is given room and board for the duration of the gig - Drama Club Camp employs a live-in chef who feeds our summer residents.
