A mystery science musical for young audiences! We fly through the solar system with Dr. Wonderful and her amazing adventure team of Newton (the dog), Ben (the human), and Mom (the Mom)! Girl-detective-noir meets science-geek-chic in this super cool astronomical musical theatre event that will take you across the universe with fun, flair, and science. This hour long musical will be touring to local schools in Connecticut and Massachusetts, mainly performing for grades K-3. We are seeking a diverse group of actors who have a sense of play, the ability to think on their feet, and aren’t afraid of morning matinees. After most performances there will be a brief Q&A session with the cast, where students may ask a range of questions relating to theatre or some of the scientific subjects in the show. Actors will be required to help unload the theatre’s vans (light lifting required) and set-up the scenic elements of the show along with stage management before each performance at the schools, and helping break down the set and loading the van after the performances. Having a valid driver’s license is helpful, though not required.
