ABOUT THE CLASS

Seeking insight on negotiating your theatre contracts? Whether you have a talent representative or not, you may be wondering what to ask for and how to effectively advocate for yourself when you first get that contract offer. In this 2-hour virtual masterclass, you’ll learn just that. Class is followed by a Q&A with Manager, Ty-Gabriel Jones.

APPROACH: Maintain professional relationships while negotiating.

EXECUTION: Learn from watching peers negotiate mock-up contract offers in class.

ABOUT THE INSTRUCTOR

Clients of Stalwart Talent Management currently appear in Broadway, Off-Broadway and Nationally Touring productions of Harry Potter and The Cursed Child, Little Shop of Horrors, Funny Girl, Come from Away, TINA, The Tina Turner Musical, Pretty Woman The Musical, The Cher Show, The Office, A Musical Parody and more.

Prior to founding Stalwart Talent Management, Ty-Gabriel worked for Casting by ARC, supporting Broadway, Pre-Broadway, Nationally Touring, and commercial projects as a full-time casting apprentice. Previously, Ty worked for TMT Models & Talent Management, supporting a talent roster for name-brand commercial and print projects. Ty is an incoming adjunct instructor of Theatre Business at the Nazareth University Theatre & Dance Department.

As an educator, Ty has worked with artists at The Goodspeed, Geva Theatre, Act First Studios, Nazareth University Theatre & Dance, StageCraft, Blackfriars Theatre, and Bellalgo Jr. Thespians. Ty holds a B.F.A. in Musical Theatre from Nazareth University in addition to Professional Certificates in Contract Law (Harvard) and Music Business (Berklee).
