Position Summary:
Round Room Live seeks a Stage Manager for a theatrical family entertainment tour playing North America. This bus and truck tour plays one-night shows in theaters and arenas.
The Stage Manager is a key member of the management team responsible for maintaining the performance quality and creative direction established by the Director and Producers.
Responsibilities:
· Point of contact for all creative needs of the show and ensure the show is being presented as designed.
· With the Production Manager, ensure the stage placement is correct and sightlines are considered.
· Facilitate all flow of information among the cast, crew, and management.
· Coordinate with the production manager on acceptable adjustments to the show's build when needed. When adjustments are required, work with the Dance Captain to adjust any blocking and set/prop changes.
· Manage and coordinate all production rehearsals, including performer put-in rehearsals on the road. Ensure blocking sheets and calling scripts are current.
· Call all needed cues during the run of the show.
· Responsible for maintaining all track sheets and sending daily performance reports.
· Other duties as assigned by the Company Manager.
Qualifications:
· Three or more years of experience in a Stage Management or Company Management role.
· One or more years of touring experience.
· Must hold a current passport and have no international travel restrictions.
· Familiarity and working knowledge of standard touring practices.
· Strong organizational and administrative skills, including experience reading contracts, correspondence, ticketing reports, and other documents.
· Outstanding judgment and ability to prioritize varying tasks.
· Skilled in communicating with tact and discretion and maintaining confidentiality.
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
· High level of computer proficiency with knowledge of Master Tour, Word, and Excel.
· Ability to work independently and in a team environment and demonstrated sound judgment when issues must be escalated.
· Positive, articulate, outgoing, flexible, calm under pressure with a friendly personality.
Details:
· Rate starts at $1600 per week, all in.
· Single hotel accommodations on days off.
· The company pays for all travel.
· Three provided meals on show days.
· Travel 2/8 for rehearsals.
· Rehearsal from 2/9 to 2/19.
· The tour runs from 2/20 to 6/22.
· An extension into the Fall of 2025 is available.
