Allan Stevenson (Performer) Obituary
Allan Stevenson, an actor who appeared on Broadway, died Oct. 24, 2007, the victim of a hit and run car accident. He was 89. Mr. Stevenson, who lived in Manhattan and walked with a cane, was crossing First Avenue at E. 73rd Street at 2:30 AM when he was hit by a red Mazdo Miata, the Daily News reported. The car did not stop but raced away.

Mr. Stevenson appeared in three Broadway shows: Maxwell Anderson's Anne of the Thousand Days in 1948, which starred Rex Harrison; Robert E. Sherwood's Small War on Murray Hill in 1957; and the 1960 musical Do Re Mi.

According to the Daily News, he used to room with Marlon Brando when both actors were starting their careers. His television credits included "Playhouse 90" and "Hallmark Hall of Fame."
