The Tony Award-winning revival of Porgy and Bess, a streamlined two-and-a-half-hour adaptation of the classic American folk opera starring five-time Tony Award winner Audra McDonald and Tony nominee Norm Lewis, ends its Broadway run Sept. 23 at the Richard Rodgers Theatre.

The WaterTower Theatre took home the most Leon Rabin Awards Nov. 4 with their productions of Sweeney Todd (winner of 4) and Cat on a Hot Tin Roof (winner of 4), including Outstanding Production of a Musical and Outstanding Production of a Play. ICT MainStage's Into the Woods also won four awards, taking two acting awards (for leading actor and actress in a musical) and Outstanding Direction of a Musical. The touring production of Some Like It Hot won one award, for Outstanding Choreography, after netting eight nominations.
Marla Schaffel, 2001 Tony nominee for Jane Eyre, and Some Like It Hot are among the nominees for Dallas' Leon Rabin Awards, given out Nov. 4 at the Eisemann Center Theatre.
