Step 1: Use a wig to create buns (Young Nala cub “ears”) or part long hair into two side pigtails, and then divide each into three sections; braid each section to make three braids on each side. Wrap each set of three braids into buns and fasten with hair ties or bobby pins.
Step 2: Combine the marigold yellow and orange paints to create the base color for the face. Add water until the consistency is creamy and translucent. Starting an inch below the hairline in the middle of the forehead, paint an orange oval mask-like outline around the face (leave approximately one inch of bare skin showing around the edge) and pull color in towards center of face, leaving center of face skin-tone colored. Let make-up dry for two minutes. Once semi-dried, blend inner edges into skin-tone so that no delineation is detectable.
Step 3: Apply the dark reddish brown or deep plum lipstick. Add dimension by dabbing gold lipstick onto the middle of the bottom lip.
Step 4: Paint a marigold yellow stripe from the middle of the forehead down the nose and chin.
Step 5: Starting slightly above the outer corner of the eye, pencil eyeliner across upper lids to create an elongation of the eye and the lashes. At the inner corner, apply eyeliner downward at a slight angle to complete the cat’s-eye effect.
Step 6: Darken the eyebrows with eyeliner to frame the eyes.
Step 7: Create six teardrop-shaped petals on the right cheek with the off-white paint to form a flower. Lightly brush faint stripes between the petals with the bluish-gray paint.
Step 8- FINAL: Thinly outline the orange face with the off-white paint.
Removal: Use baby wipes and follow-up with a gentle skin cleanser like Cetaphil wash.
