Following a critically acclaimed run at the Hampstead Theatre, the West End production of Caroline, or Change is set to open in London December 17. The production, starring Olivier winner Sharon D. Clarke, is scheduled to play through April 6, 2019.

Winner of the 2007 Olivier Award for Best New Musical, Caroline, or Change is a moving portrait of America at a time of momentous social upheaval. Set in 1963 Louisiana, the musical focuses on Caroline, a maid working in the sweltering basement of the Gellman household, and her relationship with eight-year-old Noah Gellman.

Caroline, or Change in the West End

Directed by Michael Longhurst, Caroline, or Change features a book and lyrics by Tony Kushner and music by Jeanine Tesori. The production has designs by Fly Davis, choreography by Ann Yee, musical direction by Nigel Lilley, lighting by Jack Knowles, sound by Paul Arditti, casting by Charlotte Sutton CDG, and children’s casting by Debbie O’Brien.

Ambassador Theatre Group, Gavin Kalin Productions, Glass Half Full Productions and Rupert Gavin, in association with Hampstead Theatre, produce the London run.
