Initial casting has been announced for the new revival of Mel Brooks’ Tony-winning musical adaptation of his classic film comedy The Producers, which will play London's Menier Chocolate Factory beginning November 26.

Directed by Patrick Marber, the hit musical will officially open December 9 for a limited engagement through March 1, 2025.

The cast will be led by Andy Nyman (Fiddler on the Roof; Hello, Dolly!) as Max Bialystock, Marc Antolin (The Band’s Visit, Romantics Anonymous) as Leo Bloom, Harry Morrison (Beetlejuice, The Third Man) as Franz Liebkind, and Joanna Woodward (The Time Traveller’s Wife, Merrily We Roll Along) as Ulla, with Charis Alexandra, Michael Franks, Matt Gillett, Leah Harris, Hana Ichijo, Esme Kennedy, Josh Kiernan, Alex Lodge, Kelsie-Rae Marshall, and Chloe Saunders. Additional casting will be announced.

The Producers, which won a record-breaking 12 2001 Tony Awards, features music and lyrics by Brooks and a book by Brooks and Thomas Meehan. The musical follows two theatrical producers who scheme to get rich by overselling interests in a Broadway flop. Complications ensue when the show unexpectedly turns out to be successful. Nathan Lane, Matthew Broderick, and Cady Huffman opened the original Broadway production. The production transferred to London's West End in 2004, with Lane reprising his Tony-winning role opposite Lee Evans as Leo.

The upcoming production will also have choreography by Lorin Latarro, set design by Scott Pask, costume design by Paul Farnsworth, lighting design by Richard Howell, sound design by Niamh Gaffney and Terry Jardine for Autograph, musical supervision by Gareth Valentine, musical direction by Matthew Samer, and orchestrations by Larry Blank and Mark Cumberland.
