A Broadway Birthday: Sondheim, Lloyd Webber, and Friends!, celebrating the March 22 birthdays of Andrew Lloyd Webber and the late Stephen Sondheim, is presented March 28 at the Renée and Henry Segerstrom Concert Hall in Costa Mesa, California.
Producer Scott Coulter directs with John Boswell on piano. Buckley will be accompanied by music director Christian Jacob on piano, Trey Henry on bass, and Ray Brinker on drums.
Sondheim's musicals include Sweeney Todd, Company, A Little Night Music, Into the Woods, Sunday in the Park With George, Assassins, Passion, Merrily We Roll Along, Follies, A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum,Here We Are, and more.
Lloyd Webber is the composer of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, By Jeeves, Cats, The Phantom of the Opera, Evita, Jesus Christ Superstar, Starlight Express, Sunset Boulevard, Aspects of Love, Song & Dance, Stephen Ward, Bad Cinderella, and more.
