This first complete recording of the critically acclaimed revue features Brent Barrett, Kyra Da Costa, Jason Graae, Christiane Noll and Kristin Towers-Rowles. Musical direction is provided by Joshua Eli Kranz, and the album is produced by Bruce Kimmel.

Scott Ellis directed 1991's And the World Goes Round, which featured choreography by Susan Stroman and musical direction by David Loud. The award-winning production played 408 performances at the Westside Arts Theatre. The original 1991 RCA cast album was a truncated version of the show on one CD.

The upcoming recording utilizes the show's original orchestrations. In addition to all the Kander and Ebb classics, it also features various playoffs for certain songs.
