Gretchen Cryer and Gracie Hyland's new musical is headed back to The Green Room 42, this time to celebrate the release of a new album of the score. The work was previously presented at the cabaret venue as a staged concert in September 2024. The upcoming performance will also be available as a live stream.
Along with Cryer and Hyland, the performance will feature Angela Birchett (The Color Purple), Michael McCorry Rose (Wicked), Gabriella Joy Rodriguez (The Color Purple), and Tyley Ross (Miss Saigon). They will be backed by a band led by orchestrator, album producer, and pianist Jody Shelton, along with bass player Lee Nadel, drummer Joe Choroszewski, guitarist Oscar Albis Rodriguez, and cellist Leigh Stuart.
The show is described as a "cautionary fairy tale musical," following 13-year-old Sophia, who's anxious about climate change while her father owns the biggest fossil fuel company in the world. Demone Seraphin is directing.
Both in-person and live stream tickets are available at TheGreenRoom42.com.
