Further details have been revealed about the previously announced September 19's A One Night Only History of Broadway Song and Dance, part of The Town Hall's Broadway by the Year series.

Written, directed, and hosted by Scott Siegel, the evening will conclude the 21st season of the concert series and will celebrate the contribution of dance to the Broadway musical. The program will highlight the work of George M. Cohan, Fred and Adele Astaire, Agnes de Mille, Jerome Robbins, Bob Fosse, Michael Bennett, Tommy Tune, Susan Stroman, Andy Blankenbuehler, Sergio Trujillo, and Jerry Mitchell.

Danny Gardner (Dames at Sea, Flying Over Sunset) will choreograph the evening, which will feature Kendrick Jones (Shuffle Along) and more artists to be announced.

“We are excited to showcase the 'language' of movement in this year’s Broadway by the Year finale concert," said Siegel. "It makes the American art form of musical theatre truly special; strictly speaking, without dance, the Broadway musical, as we know it, would not exist.”
