Cabaret & Concert News Broadway by the Year Will Celebrate Jukebox Musicals in From the Ziegfeld Follies to Moulin Rouge Concert

Tony Danza, Tom Wopat, Anais Reno, and more will be part of the evening at New York City's The Town Hall.

The Town Hall's Broadway by the Year series will continue with an evening celebrating jukebox musicals May 23 at 8 PM.

Created, written, directed, and hosted by Scott SiegelFrom the Ziegfeld Follies to Moulin Rouge will feature Tony Danza (Honeymoon in Vegas), Tom Wopat (Annie Get Your Gun), Anais Reno, Douglas Ladnier (Jekyll and Hyde), Danny Gardner (Flying Over Sunset), and The Broadway by the Year Dance Troupe, choreographed by Gardner. Additional performers will be announced.

Audience members will get a one-night-only history of jukebox musicals and musical revues, including Jersey Boys, Beautiful, All Shook Up, Ring of Fire, Black & Blue, After Midnight, Eubie!, and Ain't Misbehavin'. 

“Jukebox musicals are a fun and unique way to reimagine songs that we love by giving them a new context or a new storyline,” says Siegel. “This concert will highlight the history of these shows and give audience members the chart-topping songs that we all love.”
