Stephen Sondheim and Hugh Wheeler's A Little Night Music plays Lincoln Center's David Geffen Hall for four concert performances beginning June 27.
Opera star Susan Graham is starring as Desiree Armfeldt, sharing the stage with Tony winner Cynthia Erivo as Petra, Marsha Mason as Madame Armfeldt, Ron Raines as Fredrik Egerman, Shuler Hensley as Carl-Magnus, Ruthie Ann Miles as Charlotte, Kerstin Anderson as Anne Egerman, Jin Ha as Frid, Addie Harrington as Fredrika Armfeldt, Ellie Fishman as Mrs. Segstrom, Leah Horowitz as Mrs. Nordstrom, Jonathan Christopher as Mr. Erlanson, Jason Gotay as Henrik Egerman, Andrea Jones-Sojola as Mrs. Anderssen, and Ross Lekites as Mr. Lindquist.
The all-star concert serves as the premiere of a new symphonic orchestration for the musical, penned and conducted by Sondheim's longtime orchestrator, two-time Tony winner Jonathan Tunick, who leads the Orchestra of St. Luke's. Also new to the show for these concert performances is the restoration of the song "Silly People," cut during the musical's out-of-town try-out.

Adapted from the Ingmar Bergman-directed and written film Smiles of a Summer Night, A Little Night Music features a book by Wheeler (newly adapted for these concert performances by John Doyle) and a score by Sondheim. The story follows three sets of seemingly mismatched lovers, each feeling restless in their current relationship. Sondheim's score is best known for introducing one of his few break-out hits, "Send in the Clowns," and also includes "Every Day a Little Death," "A Weekend in the Country," and "The Miller's Son."
The musical premiered on Broadway in 1973, winning six Tony Awards (including Best Musical) the same year.
Marc Bruni is directing the concerts, which feature choreography by Josh Prince, lighting design by Ken Billington and Anthony Pearson, sound design by Dan Moses Schreier, and vocal direction by Rob Berman. Adam John Hunter is stage manager. Jeff and Judy Berger are producing, along with Doug and Stacey Meyer, David and Ryan Belenzon, and Michael Lamon and PBP Productions.
