Off-Broadway News Murder Mystery Play Deadly Stages Sets Off-Broadway Bow

The show will run in 2024 at Theatre Row.

Deadly Stages by Marc Castle and Mark Finley will get an Off-Broadway run via Emerging Artists Theatre and No Anita No Productions in 2024. Performances will begin February 16 at Theatre Row's Stage 5. The run will continue through March 16, with opening night set for February 25. Finley is directing.

A loving homage to the backstage murder mysteries of the '40s and '50s, Deadly Stages follows a Broadway star named Veronica Traymore as she prepares to headline a play, only for murder to threaten those plans.

Castle will star as Veronica, with Tom Galantich as Marvin, Fritz and Collucci; David Leeper as Anthony Arlo and others; Dani Marcus as Phoebe and Connie; and Ellen Reilly as Dooney, Barbara, and Rita. Understudies Jonas Cohen and Sarah Ellis round out the company. Casting is by Karie Koppel of Koppel Casting.

The production will feature set and costume design by Court Watson, lighting design by Zach Pizza, original music and sound design by Morry Campbell, and video design and direction by Leeper. Ruth E. kramer will be production stage manager, with Rebecca Nichols serving as general manager.

Tickets are available at BFANY.org.
