Donna Vivino—the standby for the role of Jersey, the part usually played by Tony nominee Shoshana Bean in the hit musical Hell's Kitchen—will step into the leading role December 3–11 at Broadway's Shubert Theatre.

The December 11 performance will mark Vivino’s final show in the Tony-nominated production. The Wicked star has been with the Alicia Keys musical since its Off-Broadway world premiere at the Public Theater.

As previously reported, Bean will play her last performance December 1; her replacement will be announced at a later date.

Hell's Kitchen features music and lyrics by Keys and a book by Kristoffer Diaz. Inspired by the 15-time Grammy winner's life, the story centers on 17-year-old Ali and her mother, sharing a cramped apartment near Times Square. Ali wants to live out her NYC dream, but Mom is scared her daughter will repeat her own mistakes.

Hell's Kitchen officially opened at the Shubert Theatre April 20 after beginning previews March 28—read the reviews here. Michael Greif directs the musical, which features choreography by Camille A. Brown.
