News Fansies Rejoice! Watch Andrew Keenan-Bolger Sing Brand-New Song from Newsies Tour (Video) Andrew Keenan-Bolger, who originated the role of Crutchie on Broadway, performed a new song written for his character in the national tour of Newsies, at 54 Below's Newsboys of New York Reunite concert Aug. 24.

The new song, "Letter From the Refuge," features music and lyrics by Alan Menken and Jack Feldman.

In Newsies, Crutchie, a paperboy who walks with a crutch, is thought to be lucky by the other paperboys because he sells more papers due to his affliction. He befriends Jack Kelly, the leader of the newsboy strike. During a protest, he is beaten, apprehended and taken to the refuge, a juvenile detention center, where he performs this song.

Andrew Keenan-Bolger has appeared on Broadway in Beauty and the Beast, Seussical, Mary Poppins and Newsies. He recently appeared in Paper Mill Playhouse's Ever After and is co-creator of the web series "Submissions Only."
