Emmy winning couple Felicity Huffman and William H. Macy begin performances in Anne Nelson’s The Guys for Colorado's Theatre Aspen September 10.
The two-performance engagement, which will also be offered September 11, is directed by nine-time Tony nominee Scott Ellis. The special production is a part of Theatre Aspen's 40th Anniversary season, and their Solo Flights festival in support of their educational programming and the Roaring Fork Valley First Responders.
Said Macy in a previous statement: "I came to Aspen, in the usual way, following a girl. I fell in love with this valley, that girl and later married her in Woody Creek. I'm honored to be a part of Aspen's community, and it's a thrill to be performing at Theatre Aspen, where I have been an audience member for years:”
Based on a true story, The Guys follows two individuals less than two weeks after the September 11 attacks. When an editor named Joan receives a phone call from Nick, a fire captain, the pair come together to compose eulogies for the many men he lost in the attack.
