Emmy winning couple Felicity Huffman and William H. Macy will star in Anne Nelson’s The Guys for Colorado's Theatre Aspen this autumn.

The two-performance engagement, which will be offered September 10 and 11, will be directed by nine-time Tony nominee Scott Ellis. The special production is a part of Theatre Aspen's 40th Anniversary season, and their Solo Flights festival in support of their educational programming and the Roaring Fork Valley First Responders.

Said Macy "I came to Aspen, in the usual way, following a girl. I fell in love with this valley, that girl and later married her in Woody Creek. I'm honored to be a part of Aspen's community, and it's a thrill to be performing at Theatre Aspen, where I have been an audience member for years:”

Based on a true story, The Guys follows two individuals less than two weeks after the September 11 attacks. When an editor named Joan receives a phone call from Nick, a fire captain, the pair come together to compose eulogies for the many men he lost in the attack.

Tickets to the September 10 performance are $200 for standard seating or $350 for a premium ticket, which includes a post-show reception with the cast and a signed program by Huffman and Macy. All tickets for the September 11 performance are $100.
