On May 6, Second Stage Theater hosted their 40th Birthday Gala at the Hammerstein Ballroom. The gala honored 40 "2nd Stagers"—artists who have appeared in at least two different Second Stage productions—and featured a performance by Tony winner Kristin Chenoweth.
Among the artists honored were Kevin Bacon, Annette Bening, Reed Birney, Stephanie J. Block, Anna Camp, John Glover, Tony Goldwyn, Celia Keenan-Bolger, Lindsay Mendez, Kathy Najimy, Manu Narayan, Cynthia Nixon, Rory O'Malley, Thomas Sadoski, Sherie Rene Scott, Julie White, Betsy Wolfe, Charlayne Woodard, and more.
