Broadway enjoyed another week of high grosses and attendance for the period ending March 27, with usual suspects The Music Man, Hamilton, Wicked, and The Lion King again topping the list; The Music Man pulled in nearly $3.3 million with 99.11% of its seats filled.
The spring season is well underway on the Main Stem, with Plaza Suite, Paradise Square, Take Me Out, and Birthday Candles continuing preview performances (Plaza Suite opened March 28, numbers from which will be included with next week's report) and American Buffalo and Funny Girl newly entering the fray. The latter Beanie Feldstein-led revival got off to a promising start, bringing in more than $200,000 with just one preview performance.
Cumulatively, Broadway held more or less steady with a $26.8 million week and attendance dipping slightly to 89.7%.
