Film & TV News Hailey Kilgore Cast In Upcoming Tubi Movie Cinnamon

The Once on This Island performer stars as a small-town gas station attendant and aspiring singer.

Tony nominee Hailey Kilgore has been cast in the forthcoming Tube movie Cinnamon. According to Deadline, the Broadway favorite signed onto the production alongside actors David Iacono (Grand Army) and Jeremie Harris (Legion).

The noir movie will follow Kilgore as a small-town gas station attendant and aspiring singer, Jodi Jackson, meaning fans might get to hear her croon some tunes. After a robbery at her workplace, the attendant finds herself going in a few direction. lacono joins the production as Jodi's boyfriend-turned-manager, and Harris plays a young gangster. 

Prior to this role, Kilgore starred in the Tony Award-winning revival of Once on This Island as Ti Moune and can be heard on the cast recording. She also starred in the Hollywood Bowl production of Into the Woods. Other film and television credits include playing Carolyn Franklin in the Jennifer Hudson-led movie Respect and Jukebox in Powerbook III: Raising Kanan. She also guest starred starred in an episode of Steven Spielberg's anthology series Amazing Stories.

The movie is set to stream for free on the Fox platform Tubi and it is currently in production in Atlanta, Georgia. Bryian Keith Montgomery Jr. serves as the writer and director and it will be produced by Oz Scott and Kevin Garnett. Adrian Younge will be composing the movie's original score, following his work on Marvel Studio's Luke Cage.
