The Times Square Alliance welcomes the return of the holiday Show Globes to Times Square at an 11 AM event November 3 on the Broadway Plaza between 45th and 46th Streets that features the unveiling of the new Aladdin Show Globe.
The Aladdin Show Globe, which joins the previously seen The Lion King and Wicked Show Globes in the holiday display, was designed and created by Ros Coombes, Jennifer Kramer, Mary Hamrick, and BB Props.
The ceremony includes remarks as well as a performance from members of the Broadway Sings concert series: Jelani Remy (The Lion King, Ain’t Too Proud), Arielle Jacobs (Aladdin), and Ginna Claire Mason (Wicked). The concert series, which reimagines the work of a pop star for the strengths of Broadway artists, will continue December 5 at Sony Hall with Broadway Sings Mariah Carey: A Holiday Spectacular.
The Times Square Alliance partnered with advertising and marketing agency Serino Coyne on the Show Globes exhibition, on display in Times Square through December 26.
