The East High Wildcats are poised to take on Disney's Frozen in the new season on Disney+, premiering July 27.

2022 Tony winner Jesse Tyler Ferguson and Nickelodeon star JoJo Siwa have joined the roster of guest stars for the upcoming third season of Disney+'s High School Musical: The Musical: The Series, premiering on the streamer July 27. As previously announced, the new season will send the Wildcats of East High to Camp Shallow Lake, where they will put up a production of Disney's Frozen. Watch a trailer for the season above.

Ferguson, who won a Tony Award for his performance in Take Me Out, will appear as Marvin, an old family friend of Nini (played by Olivia Rodrigo). Siwa will play Camp Shallow Lake alum Madison. Aria Brooks, Liamani Segura, and Ben Stillwell will also guest star as Alex, Emmy, and Channing, respectively. They join previously announced guest stars High School Musical film franchise vet and Broadway favorite Corbin Bleu, playing himself; Meg Donnelly (Zombies), playing Val, a former camper-turned-counselor-in-training who's choreographing Frozen; and Jason Earles (Hannah Montana), playing killjoy camp director Dewey Wood.

Several former series regulars will be on hand to guest star in season three, including Kate Reinders, Olivia Rodrigo, Olivia Rose Keegan, Larry Saperstein, and Joe Serafini.

Joining the cast as series regulars are newcomers Adrian Lyles and Taylor Bell (I Didn't Do It on Disney Channel). Lyles will play Jet, the mysterious new kid at Camp Shallow Lake, while Bell will play Maddox, a quick-witted "techie" who cares about the rules. Returning cast members include Joshua Bassett, Matt Cornett, Sofia Wylie, current Broadway Into the Woods star Julia Lester, Dara Reneé, Frankie Rodriguez, and Saylor Bell Curda.

Along with songs from Bobby Lopez and Kristen Anderson-Lopez's score to Frozen, the season will include performances of songs from the High School Musical franchise and Camp Rock.

High School Musical: The Musical: The Series is a scripted, mockumentary-style show that follows students at a fictionalized version of Salt Lake City's East High School, where the original High School Musical film franchise was shot. The first season centered on the school's first-ever production of the stage adaptation of High School Musical, while the second season saw the drama department take on Disney's Beauty and the Beast. Created by showrunner and Broadway vet Tim Federle (Tuck Everlasting), the series was part of Disney+'s launch line-up in November 2019 and was renewed for a second season before it premiered. The series was renewed for a third season in September 2021.
