The Bobby Darin jukebox biomusical Just in Time, which will begin previews March 28 prior to an official opening April 23 at Broadway's Circle in the Square Theatre, has a special offer in store for its box office opening.
In celebration of 1959, the year Darin released the album That’s All featuring his recordings of “Mack The Knife,” and “Beyond The Sea,” the first 59 patrons to purchase tickets in person at the Circle in the Square Theatre box office on January 30 will receive a commemorative limited edition window card signed by Tony-winning star Jonathan Groff. The box office will open at 1 PM ET, and there will be a limit of one signed window card per transaction, and one transaction per patron.
Starring Tony winner Jonathan Groff as Darin, the musical will also feature Erika Henningsen (Mean Girls), Tony winner Michele Pawk (Wicked), Joe Barbara (A Bronx Tale The Musical), Drama Desk nominee Emily Bergl (Good Night, Oscar), Gracie Lawrence (The Sex Lives of College Girls), Lance Roberts (The Music Man), Caesar Samayoa (Come From Away), Christine Cornish (Kiss Me, Kate), Julia Grondin (Funny Girl), Valeria Yamin (Moulin Rouge!), John Treacy Egan (My Fair Lady), Tari Kelly (Mr. Saturday Night), Matt Magnusson (A Wonderful World), Khori Michelle Petinaud (Lempicka), and Larkin Reilly (Bad Cinderella).
Tony winner Alex Timbers will be at the helm of the immersive staging that will see the theatre transformed into an intimate nightclub with a live, onstage big band. The show tracks Darin's life story and will see Groff performing his greatest hits, also including "Splish Splash" and "Mack the Knife."
The work, developed by Timbers and based on an original concept by Ted Chapin, features a book by Tony winner Warren Leight and Isaac Oliver (The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel). Shannon Lewis will choreograph, with music supervision and arrangements by Andrew Resnick.
The production will also feature scenic design by two-time Tony winner Derek McLane (Death Becomes Her), costume design by eight-time Tony winner Catherine Zuber (Moulin Rouge!), lighting design by Tony winner Justin Townsend (Here Lies Love), and sound design by Tony winner Peter Hylenski (Maybe Happy Ending).
Scott Rowen is the production stage manager, and Live Wire Theatrical is the general manager. Tom Kirdahy, Robert Ahrens, John Frost, and Groff are producing.
Groff won a Tony Award last year for his performance in the Tony-winning revival of Merrily We Roll Along, and has also appeared on Broadway in Spring Awakening and Hamilton.
