Directed by Zhailon Levingston (Cats: The Jellicle Ball), previews will begin August 14 prior to an official opening September 6. Originally scheduled through September 15, the production will now continue an extra week through September 22 at MCC Theater’s Susan & Ronald Frankel Theater.

The new play follows the once-engaged Jada and Dallas, who reunite for dinner to hash out their romantic past.

Simmons (MCC’s Bees & Honey), lighting design by Tony nominee Ben Stanton (The Notebook), sound design by Christopher Darbassie (The Apiary), wig design by Tony winner Nikiya Mathis (Jaja's African Hair Braiding), and makeup by Earon Nealey (Fat Ham).

Andrew Diaz (Illinoise) is the props supervisor, Tre Matthews (The Return of Young Boy) is the composer, Ann James (Pass Over) is the intimacy coordinator, and shiku thuo is the production stage manager.

MCC will offer a talkback with playwright Lyons and director Levingston following the August 19 performance and a talkback with the cast following the August 27 performance. An open caption performance will be held September 11. Patron Nights are scheduled for August 20 and September 10.

Table 17, which was commissioned in 2022 by New Works Provincetown, is presented in association with Jeffrey Richards and Mark Cortale.
