The new adaptation, from the director of The Arabian Nights, Eleven Rooms of Proust and The Notebooks of Leonardo da Vinci, will open the 2015-16 season at Chicago’s Lookingglass Theatre Company, where she is an ensemble member. No cast has yet been announced for the production, which will open Oct. 17 and run through the holiday season. Treasure Island tells the story of young Jim Hawkins who is swept up with Long John Silver and his pirate band as they head out to find buried treasure on a distant island.

The production will debut at the Water Tower Water Works theatre in Chicago. In spring 2016 it will move to Berkeley Repertory Theatre in California, which is a co-producer.
