Shakespeare Theatre Company's production of King Lear, starring Tony Nominee Patrick Page (Hadestown) is now available to stream worldwide through April 16.

The production, which began performances in the Klein Theatre February 24, has been extended thrice. Originally scheduled through March 26, live performances will also cease April 16.

Directed by STC Artistic Director Simon Godwin, the Shakespearean tragedy has been sold out for the majority of its Washington D.C. engagement, making it one of the most popular productions in STC history.

"I continue to be humbled and thrilled by the wonderful response we've had to this production," said Godwin. "D.C. is loving King Lear and we keep hearing from patrons that they want to share it with their out-of-town friends and family. Streaming makes that possible."
