Justin Bartha and Elizabeth Reaser Explore Discipline and Power in Robert Askins' Permission
In Permission, Bartha and Reaser will play Eric and Cyndy, respectively, a couple who have decided to follow the example of their friends and make the real-life practice of Christian Domestic Discipline the foundation of their marriage. "But restructuring their lives and their union according to role play and a new moral code upends everything they knew--and took for granted--about one another, their friends, and more importantly, who really holds the power," state press notes.
Hitting the stage after going viral on TikTok, the work features music and lyrics by James Stryska and Isabel Grace and a book by Erica Molfetto and Molly Russo.
