Lin-Manuel Miranda's international hit musical Hamilton launched its first U.K. and Ireland tour November 11 at the Manchester Palace Theatre for a 15-week engagement through February 24, 2024.
The production will subsequently play Edinburgh's Festival Theatre February 28-April 27, 2024, with additional stops scheduled at the Bristol Hippodrome, Birmingham Hippodrome, the Bord Gais Energy Theatre in Dublin, and Cardiff's Wales Millennium Centre.
The cast is led by Shaq Taylor as Alexander Hamilton, Sam Oladeinde as Aaron Burr, Gabriela Benedetti as Peggy Schuyler/Maria Reynolds, KM Drew Boateng as Hercules Mulligan/James Madison, Daniel Boys as King George, Maya Britto as Eliza Hamilton, Aisha Jawando as Angelica Schuyler, DeAngelo Jones as John Laurens/Philip Hamilton, Billy Nevers as Marquis de Lafayette/Thomas Jefferson, and Charles Simmons as George Washington.
The ensemble includes Simeon Beckett, Taylor Bradshaw, Cletus Chan, Kyerron Dixon-Bassey, Kyeirah D’marni, Yesy Garcia, Jonathan Hermosa-Lopez, Levi Tyrell Johnson, Honey Joseph, Akmed Junior Khemalai, Richard Logun, Buna McCreery-Njie, Mia Mullarkey, Antoine Murray-Straughan, Kiran Patel, Izzy Read, Alice Readie, Harry Robinson, Phoebe Samuel-Gray, Jasmine Jia Yung Shen, Samantha Shuma, Michael James Stewart, Rhys West, Jack Whitehead, and Sian Yeo.

Producer Cameron Mackintosh said in an earlier statement, “Lin-Manuel Miranda’s Hamilton is indisputably the most brilliant, ground-breaking, contemporary musical of modern times. I feel extraordinarily fortunate that Lin and my friend Jeffrey Seller, the show’s original producer, have entrusted me with their wonderful musical in the U.K. and Ireland. The London production opened in 2017 at the Victoria Palace, a theatre I completely rebuilt to house Hamilton, where it continues to play and has proved to be as big a success as the Broadway original. So, I am thrilled that it is time to put together a second British national touring company to bring this great show to our leading cities."
Hamilton, the story of founding father Alexander Hamilton, is directed by Thomas Kail and features choreography by Andy Blankenbuehler, musical supervision and orchestrations by Alex Lacamoire, and is based on Ron Chernow’s biography of Alexander Hamilton. The musical also has scenic design by David Korins, costume design by Paul Tazewell, lighting design by Howell Binkley, sound design by Nevin Steinberg, and hair and wig design by Charles G. LaPointe.
The Olivier, Tony, and Grammy–winning Hamilton opened at the newly rebuilt and restored Victoria Palace Theatre in London in December 2017. The Broadway production continues at the Richard Rodgers Theatre.
Hamilton is produced in the U.K. by Jeffrey Seller, Sander Jacobs, Jill Furman, The Public Theater, and Cameron Mackintosh.
