Reviews are coming in for the Broadway premiere of Jordan E. Cooper's comedy Ain't No Mo', which officially opened at the Belasco Theatre December 1. Previews began November 9 after a brief delay due to COVID cases in the company; additionally, the show's lead Cooper has been out of pre-opening previews, resulting in reviews that are coming in further from opening night than is typical.
Now boarding, Flight 1619 brings Black Americans to Africa on one-way tickets provided by the U.S. government. Ain't No Mo' takes audiences on that ride exploring such a 'what if' under the guidance of flight attendant Peaches, a role reprised by Cooper from the show's 2019 world premiere Off-Broadway for his Broadway debut.
