She will be newly joined by Derbhle Crotty (recently seen in the film "Notes on a Scandal") as her spinster daughter Maureen, who longs for the romance that will spirit her away from life with her manipulative mother.
Linehan was recipient of the Lifetime Achievement Award at the Irish Times Theatre Awards in 2008. On Broadway, she was Tony-nominated for Best Featured Actress for her performance in Dancing at Lughnasa, and has also been seen on Broadway in Roundabout's production of Tartuffe. Other theatre credits include New Electric Ballroom (world tour), Long Day's Journey into Night (Gate Theatre Dublin), and Winnie in Happy Days (Gate Theatre Dublin, New York, London's Almeida and Barbican).
Crotty has worked extensively at Dublin's Abbey Theatre and for Druid Theatre Company. In London, she has appeared in The Weir and The Alice Trilogy (both Royal Court), and as Portia in Trevor Nunn's National Theatre production of The Merchant of Venice.
The cast also includes Frank Laverty as Pato and Johnny Ward as Ray.
