The 2:45 PM event, according to press notes, "affords young people the opportunity to experience the magic of live theatre and to participate in special activities hosted by the cast and crew of participating Broadway shows." Kids and their families will be able to tour Madame Tussauds and "enjoy a number of unique theatre activities, including special theatrical makeup stations, Broadway dance lessons, karaoke and more."
Among the shows participating in Kids' Night on Broadway are The 39 Steps, Altar Boyz, The American Plan, Avenue Q, Billy Elliot The Musical, Chicago, Disney's The Little Mermaid, In the Heights, The Lion King, Mamma Mia!, Mary Poppins, The Phantom of the Opera, Shrek The Musical, Stomp and Wicked.
Kids' Night on Broadway — where young people ages 6-18 can attend a Broadway show for free when accompanied by a full-paying adult — is now a monthly event; the February Kids' Night events will be held Feb. 3 and 4.
